canino produce & farmer’s outlet

this place is off airline and offers some decent stuff.  i always find outstanding onions (baby, small & large), limes & exotic fruits here but on a recent visit i scored some serious goods!  i always pick through the produce with a careful eye but it is usually fresh and sometimes still on the truck.  it can get very crowded very quick due to the strange cashier policy (you must pay each time you enter the next area).  i suggest going early in the morning when the trucks are arriving!!!

About greensandbeans

this blog focuses on the trials & tribulations of the culinary evolution and explorations in the kitchen. it is also an open forum to discuss food ideas, techniques & most of all to expose the "happenings" and discoveries that are occurring in our very own backyard. "feedin my dreams by eatin greens & beans"... cheers, randy rucker

Canino’s is my absolute favorite place to hit up on a Saturday morning. Get your shopping done, get some of the best produce in town, pay a pittance of what you would at Randall’s and then reward yourself with some churros across the street at El Bolillo. That’s a good way to start your weekend, I’m telling ya! 😀

Bravo on your Canino’s post. Have you ventured out the back door? The first lady on the right keeps a container of homemade Mole under the table for sale in small or large amounts. You have to ask for it *-*
