how in the good lords name did “they” miss bobby & his crew??

it’s that time of year in houston where we get to vote and voice our opinions on what is said to be “the restaurant awards of houston”.  good ole my table awards.

anyway, after the past few years it has become clear to me that these awards are not all that bad.  yes, they have had some questionable winners in the past (i will never discuss this publically) but they do a pretty good job of rounding up the cities best and giving them the credit they deserve.

now,  with the disclaimer out of the way – how did they miss bobby over at beaver’s?  do they not advertise with them?  i understand the issue with sponsers and “those who pay your bills” but to miss mr. heugel’s creative and more importantly incredibly honest, meaningful & delicous mixology program.  jeeeeeeez!  he makes a better pisco sour than the corduas do & there vp is from lima!!!

this is a real disappointment but it i also find this motivational.  time to get started planning that celebration of houston’s talent!!!

any volunteers out there willing to devote some time???

Wow, Randy, thanks for the support. The kind words mean even more coming from someone that gives so much attention to detail and flavor. Hey, we need to get together and work on some stuff at some point. I might have some opportunities for a few evenings off occasionally and could certainly arrange something if you’re up for it. Need a bartender at one of your dinners – just let me know. Anyway, thanks again; I’ll see you around.
